‘I want to cry every night’ says stunning German model as she lifts lid on tennis star partner’s bizarre bedroom habits
ALEXANDER ZVEREV’S girlfriend Sophia Thomalla has revealed she has the “urge to cry” every night due to his bedroom habits.
German tennis star Zverev, 27, reached the 2020 US Open final and 2024 French Open final.
He has been dating actress, model and TV presenter Sophia, 35, since 2021.
And Sophia, who previously dated ex-Liverpool and Newcastle keeper Loris Karius, has now spoken of Zverev’s unusual behaviour before he goes to bed – which involves going to the toilet multiple times.
Speaking to RTL, she said: “Superstition is a sign of weakness.
“Because you cling to certain rituals just because you don’t have faith in yourself.
“Every evening, before he goes to bed, he goes to the toilet three times, and then back to bed, back and forth like that.
“And then the chains are put in place. I get the urge to cry every night and think to myself: now just come to bed.”
Zverev was accused in 2023 of abusing the mother of his child, Brenda Patea, in 2020.
He was found not guilty of any wrongdoing but agreed to pay Brenda £174,254.
In October 2023, the Berlin-Tiergarten court issued Zverev with a penalty order and a fine of around £390,396.
Zverev labelled the order “complete bull****”.
Zverev has denied Brenda’s accusations – which she told German newspaper Suddeutsche Zeitung involved him choking her during an argument.
Olga Sharypova, a tennis player and ex-girlfriend of Zverev, has also accused him of domestic abuse.
She alleged Zverev punched her in the face and smothered her with a pillow, but after a 15-month investigation it was determined there was insufficient evidence.
