PlayStation fans can grab a huge 2024 release and one of the best indies of all time for free
PLAYSTATION has just announced the new PS Plus Essential games for January 2024.
It’s one of the biggest ever months for PlayStation fans, with some big-name releases available for free this month.
PS Plus Essential is the cheapest tier of PlayStation’s subscription service, and many people subscribe so they can play games online.
The Essential games are usually just an added bonus, but there is a great selection of games available this month.
The biggest game of PS Plus Essential this month is Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, one of the biggest launches of 2024.
While it had mixed reviews at launch, people loved the humourous dialogue and plenty are fans of the fast-paced combat.
This is the perfect opportunity to dive in and try it for yourself as there is no risk if you don’t like it.
Suicide Squad has online features and people will likely be diving in now it’s on PS Plus and available for a deep discount on Steam.
The next game available via PS Plus Essential in January is The Stanley Parable Ultra Deluxe.
An updated version of the 2013 award-winning game The Stanley Parable wowed fans by breaking players’ expectations when it comes to games.
The Ultra Deluxe version was released in 2022 and includes a number of new endings.
The final game available this month is Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered.
With an incredible 91 rating on review aggregate site Metacritic, it’s considered one of the best games in the racing series.

All three games will be available for download from Tuesday, January 7, 2025, but until then the PS Plus Essential games from December are still available.
As always, subscribers to the more expensive PS Plus Extra and Premium tiers can also claim the three monthly games.
