COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) - From several sporting events featuring the Blue Jackets and Ohio State, to the last weekend for many holiday light displays, here are things to see and do in central Ohio.
Blue Jackets vs. Red Wings
Nationwide Arena, Jan. 2 at 7 p.m.
- The Columbus Blue Jackets face the Detroit Red Wings in a home game at Nationwide Arena.
Columbus Zoo Wildlights
Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, through Jan. 5 from 5 to 10 p.m.
- View millions of LED zoo lights, animated musical light shows, holiday activities and much more at the Columbus Zoo. The annual Wildlights is included in regular zoo admission. This is the final weekend of Wildlights.
Ohio State Buckeyes men's basketball
Value City Arena, Jan. 3 at 8 p.m.
- The Buckeyes take on the Michigan State Spartans at home, with an 8 p.m. tipoff.
Blue Jackets vs. Blues
Nationwide Arena, Jan. 4 at 7 p.m.
- The Columbus Blue Jackets take on the St. Louis Blues in a home matchup.
Conservatory Aglow
Franklin Park Conservatory, through Jan. 5
- Enjoy an evening, holiday experience as the gardens and interior biomes come alive with lights, iconic ornament trees and much more. Patrons can go the Conservatory Aglow from 5 to 9 p.m. nightly and 5 to 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. This is the final weekend for the experience.
Ohio State Buckeyes women's basketball
Schottenstein Center, Jan. 5 at 1 p.m.
- Ohio State will face Northwestern in a home game at 1 p.m.
