FOX 43 welcomes new 9 p.m. anchor
TOPEKA (FOX 43) – FOX 43 News is excited to welcome a new anchor to the team!
Brian Calfano, an experienced journalist and political expert, will host FOX 43 News at 9 each weeknight.
Calfano joins FOX 43 from the University of Cincinnati, where he served as a professor of journalism and department head for the College of Arts and Sciences. He earned his doctorate from the University of North Texas and has contributed journalism to television stations in Cincinnati and St. Louis.
Drawn to Topeka by the opportunity to cover its dynamic political landscape, Calfano is eager to grow his career as a news anchor.
“I’m excited to work with this dedicated and award-winning news team covering the stories that matter to our community,” Calfano said.
In addition to anchoring FOX 43 News at 9, Calfano will work with the Kansas Capitol Bureau to track legislative developments affecting Kansans. He’ll also occasionally appear on 27 News newscasts.
An accomplished documentary producer, Calfano most recently directed Al Primo & His Eyewitness News Revolution.
