Two arrested for allegedly stealing from Walmart in Brunswick
BRUNSWICK, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- Two Troy residents were arrested on December 20, following reports of a larceny at Walmart in Brunswick. Hector Padin, 48, and Shannon Terry, 50, both face multiple charges.
According to State Police, around 7:51 p.m., troopers responded to the Walmart in Brunswick for reports of a larceny in progress. A preliminary investigation determined that Padin and Terry reportedly entered the store and stole multiple items valued at over $1,000.
The two reportedly met back up outside the store and were located together, walking nearby the store when they were arrested. When in custody, Padin reportedly had multiple controlled substances on him; troopers did not say what those substances were.
Charges for Padin:
- Grand Larceny in the fourth degree
- Tampering with Physical Evidence
- Conspiracy in the fifth degree
- Two counts of Criminal Possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree
Charges for Terry:
- Grand Larceny in the fourth degree
- Tampering with Physical Evidence
- Conspiracy in the fifth degree
Both were processed at the state police barracks in Brunswick. The two were later arraigned at the Brunswick Town Court and remanded to the Rensselaer County Correctional Facility without bail.
