Man found fatally injured on Ulster roadway
ULSTER, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- On Saturday, a 66-year-old Caucasian male died of injuries after being found lying in the roadway near the Bank of Greene County. The male was found on East Chester Street Bypass, Town of Ulster Police said.
According to police, they responded to the 911 call around 7:08 a.m. Upon arriving, police and members of the Ulster Hose Fire Company treated the man on the scene before being transported to Health Alliance Hospital, where he later died of his injuries.
Police said the man was wearing a tan Carhartt jacket, blue jeans, dark colored sneakers and was carrying a blue backpack. He was also described as 5 feet and 11 inches tall.
The investigation remains ongoing, police said. The Ulster Police Department is asking anyone who may have been in the area and seen the man or anything unusual to contact the Ulster Police Department Detective Division at (845) 382-1111.
According to the police department, state police assisted as the scene. Empress Ambulance and Ulster Hose Fire Company also responded and assisted police.
