You gotta be keen
Hello Friends,
As expected there isn’t much in the way of a wave this morning. Swell at sea was 1.7 metres at 7 seconds from just about dead south. So, it’s not totally flat. If you’re in the right spot along an open stretch you could easily experience a waist high moment of forward movement like the chap racing the curl below…
According to the swell models it will get even smaller tomorrow and then the prospect is that it’ll stay that way into the first days of 2025. I wish it was otherwise folks, but what’re you gonna do? Stay happy, that’s what! At some point in January we’re bound to have good waves!
I’m off for a day or two, so catchya early next week.
Weather Situation
A cold front is crossing the central parts of the coast while a high pressure system over the northern Tasman Sea is extending a ridge toward the far northeast of the state. The front will continue to head north, reaching the far north coast by late today, with a fresh and gusty southerly wind change in the wake. Then, the system will become stagnant off the far north coast or southeast Queensland coast and transition to a coastal trough while another ridge of high pressure extends across the south and east during the weekend through the early new week, interrupted by a series of troughs brushing the southern and central parts of the coast as coastal southerly changes.
