Tom Brady Reveals He’s ‘Not Sure’ About His Latest Athletic Endeavor but ‘Loves’ His Opponent
Tom Brady’s name has almost always been synonymous with football. After all, the twice-retired quarterback has won seven Super Bowls, played in an additional three, and has been inducted into the Patriots Hall of Fame.
But it looks like the NFL legend is looking into other athletic endeavors now that he’s put down the pigskin. But, like almost any retiree will tell you, it takes time to figure out what exactly you want to do with all your free time.
Brady shared a photo on his Instagram Story playing golf with his oldest son, Jack Moynahan. The two are twinning in their light blue polos, but while their outfits might match, their vibes seem to differ. In the photo, Jack is all teed up, looking serious and ready to take a swing. Meanwhile, Brady stands off to the side, leaning on his club with his other hand on his hip. From this angle, Brady could seem very interested … or very indifferent.
“Love this boy,” Brady wrote on the photo that was obtained by People. “Not sure about this game,” he added with a winking emoji.
Because even if golf seems to be a top sport among retirees and a beloved pastime of other football stars during the off-season (we’re looking at you, Mahomes!), it’s a lot different than what Brady is used to.
But the sport must be growing on him at least a little bit. When Jack — who Brady shares with ex Bridget Moynahan — turned 17 in August, the Brady shared another photo of him and his son on the green.
It’s nice to see a little love being sent Jack’s way after Brady subtly shaded him earlier this month. The dad of three also shares 12-year-old daughter Vivian and 14-year-old son Benjamin with ex-wife Gisele Bündchen, and he made a major “Oops!” when celebrating Benny’s birthday.
“I’m so proud of the young man you are … You’re a student, artist, athlete, musician, and teammate … but most of all you’re the best brother and son anyone could ask for,” Brady wrote on Instagram.
And the “best brother and son” comment is a lovely thing to say … if you only have one son. We said it then and we’ll say it again: Hopefully, Jack has a thick skin and enough love for his little brother that he didn’t see it as a snub. Or, maybe he quietly let it slide since his dad has been putting up with a sport he’s “not sure about” so they can spend time together.
