MAGA fans say Elon Musk still owes them 'thousands' for election petition referrals
Some supporters of President-elect Donald Trump are calling out X owner Elon Musk for not paying them after they took part in his "free speech" petition ahead of the 2024 presidential election.
In replies to a post criticizing Musk from Trump ally Laura Loomer, some Trump supporters said that they were still owed money after they took part in his petition drive scheme that promised participants $47 for each successful referral to sign the petition.
"I am waiting 80 days for payment from his AmericaPAC," wrote Cheré Woltz Oliver in one post.
In a follow up post, Oliver said that she has only been paid $94 so far for her efforts, and added that "I and many others like me are owed thousands."

Oliver wasn't the only person to complain about being lowballed.
"I referred like 12 people and just got 2 separate checks for $100 each," wrote one. "Like WTF is that."
"Waiting along with her with no response since 9th of October," wrote another.
"Got my $47 but nothing for referrals," complained another.
Another follower joined in to criticize other aspects of Musk's business practices.
"Not to pile in, but Elon - you said get Starlink and only pay for what you use," they wrote. "Not so - you charge full $120 when it is still sitting in the box."
