Indian Ladder Farms hosts Christmas tree bonfire, activities on New Year's Eve
ALTAMONT, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- On New Year's Eve, the annual Christmas Tree Bonfire at Indian Ladder Farms is set to return. The event will run from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with children's activities before.
The children's event will be in two sections, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the Clear Mountain Room behind the Pizza Garden. The activities, geared towards kids, include a s'mores station, bingo, crafts, and a noon and a 3 p.m. countdown with hats, horns and sparkling cider.
Starting at 5 p.m., Indian Ladder Farms will begin collecting trees for the fire, at the Biergarten. Those who donate trees will earn one free beverage token. According to organizers, there is a limit of two tokens per person, even if more than two trees are donated.
The Cidery and Brewery will be serving featured cocktails for the event including a Nordic Mule featuring house made aquavit, lime and ginger beer; Icelandic Coffee featuring whiskey, coffee liqueur, coffee and brandy; a Jumping Off the Furniture cocktail featuring gin and rye, brandy, lime, angostura and a syrup. A "ball drop" toast will close out the night at 9 p.m.
