Teen actor from 'Baby Driver' dies after falling from moving vehicle
VESTAVIA HILLS, Ala. (WIAT) – A young actor from Alabama has died after he was injured falling from a moving vehicle.
The Jefferson County Coroner's Office said 16-year-old Hudson Joseph Meek suffered blunt force injuries when he fell from a vehicle last week in Vestavia Hills.
Meek was taken to UAB Hospital for treatment, where he died from his injuries on Saturday. The Vestavia Hills Police Department is investigating the circumstances surrounding Meek's death at this time.
With 17 acting credits to his name, Meek was already an accomplished actor, with roles in the major motion picture "Baby Driver" and an appearance in the reboot of the television show "MacGyver." His more recent roles, according to his IMDb page, included work on the series "Genius" and the thriller "The School Duel."
It was how he lived off the screen that those who knew him are highlighting. Meek is being remembered by people from all over country, sharing memories and stories of his described larger-than-life personality.
The Meek family has said they are working on a scholarship for Vestavia Hills High School students in his memory. According to the family, memorial services for Meek will be held later this week.

"Hudson Meek was a beloved and talented member of the Acting Out Academy community since the beginning. But that is just one piece of the magical person that he was. He was kind, he was faithful, he was funny and lit up any room. He touched so many lives and will be missed beyond measure.
"The whole Meek family has been a huge part of our community and was instrumental in making Acting Out and many of our actors what we are today. Our hearts are broken as we continue to pray for them."
