Phoenix police investigating Christmas shooting at airport
Phoenix police officers are investigating a Christmas night shooting at Sky Harbor International Airport that led to three injuries and one stabbing.
The victims were a woman and two men who were shot; the woman was left with injuries police described as life-threatening, according to The Associated Press.
The two men were in stable condition and are expected to survive, police said in a statement as reported by AP.
Law enforcement said the shooting took place at around 9:45 p.m. due to family conflict at an airport restaurant outside the security checkpoint in Terminal 4.
The gunfire caused a temporary closure of the security checkpoint and paused the terminal’s PHX Sky Train station.
All airport operations have resumed as of Thursday.
