Youths armed with machetes chase each with huge knives outside school
Footage shows the moment youths chased each other in front of shocked onlookers, with some armed with knives.
A peaceful Friday came to an abrupt halt when a gang of youths targeted each other near a school in West Midlands.
The terrifying incident unfolded outside Sandwell College in West Bromwich, West Midlands, when the hooded youths caused chaos during a street chase.
At least two people involved were carrying large knives, according to MailOnline.
Footage has now emerged showing the incident on December 6 as people were caught in the middle of it.
One of the hooded figures running with a large blade in his hand narrowly dodges a car that has turned around the corner and into the mayhem.
Screams can be heard as the youths chase each other in the middle of the roads while an onlooker filming the commotion gasps in horror.
Sandwell College said it was aware of the incident in West Bromwich town centre, adding that ‘the individuals involved are not Sandwell College learners.’
A manhunt continues for the group after police confirmed it is looking into the incident.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: ‘We’re investigating following armed disorder near West Bromwich Ringway.
‘A number of people were seen running through the streets with weapons at just before 1.30pm on Friday 6 December. No-one is known to have been injured but we’re working hard to identify those involved.
‘We’ve been reviewing CCTV – alongside other enquiries – and we’ll be looking to arrest whoever is found to have been carrying a weapon. We know this would have been intimidating, and worrying, for others and our officers are continuing to conduct highly visible patrols in the area to provide reassurance.
‘Anyone with information is asked to contact us via Live Chat on our website, or by calling 101, quoting log 2223 of 6 December.’
