Sunny little Boxing Day bumps
Hello Friends,
A slightly weaker, slightly smaller version of yesterday’s surf conditions on tap this morning. Sets were into the waist-ish high range, but the meter or so SSE swell period was around the 9 second mark so even the sets didn’t look too juicy. As of 0900 the wind was wafting lightly from the NE, but the Bureau says the wafting will soon give way to a standard-issue 15-25 kt NE’r. That’ll potentially blow in a few blueys while hold the water temp to around 21. Tide’s on the run-out to the next low at 1220.
I’m not happy with the surf outlook for the coming week, so here’s hoping the Goat’s of a mind to share his thoughts later – and that said hopes are more hopeful than mine.
Get out and enjoy the day!
Weather Situation
A broad ridge of high pressure extends over the coast, while a low pressure system moves across New Zealand. The ridge continues to build as its associated high pressure system is moving over the coastal waters. The next cold front is currently forecast to cross the south coast early Friday continuing northward through Saturday, bringing with it a gusty southerly change.
