Paul 'PK' Kemsley Reacts to Estranged Wife Dorit Kemsley Calling Him a 'Full Blown Alcoholic' On 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills'
Paul Kemsley, aka PK, is sharing his thoughts on what his estranged wife Dorit Kemsley said on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
The couple of nine years announced back in May 2024 that they were separating, and it has been unfolding on the latest 14th season of the Bravo reality series.
In the season premiere episode, while talking about their separation, Dorit called PK, who has been in recovery, a “full blown alcoholic,” while also noting he has a sober coach and has been working on his sobriety.
During an episode of the Bravo’s Hot Mic podcast, PK reacted to her claims about his sobriety and their marriage on the show.

“I’m really proud and public about my sobriety, and I’m 12 months in two weeks,” he said. “I’m now completely clear. My public sharing of my sobriety was about recovery. It was to inspire other people that it doesn’t matter how dark it gets, you can recover. You can’t do it on your own. You need people.”
He added that his road to getting sober has been a “very emotional, tough journey, the toughest one I’ve really taken.”
“It’s one of those things that the older you get, the worse it gets. So Dorit‘s lack of understanding about sobriety is not her fault. She hasn’t invested in it,” PK added. “She hasn’t worked a program and hasn’t done what I’ve done. So there is no fully blown alcoholic. You’re either an alcoholic or you’re not, right?”
“I felt that some of those descriptions, which obviously my alcoholism had an element of responsibility in relation to the breakdown of our marriage, but that was just a component, right?” he continued. “The truth is, if you understand the disease, alcoholism is a symptom, it’s not a cause. So the reality is is you have to get to what the cause was underneath. So it’s just not as simple as to say he was a fully blown alcoholic. That’s why we’re separated.”
On RHOBH, Dorit said, “We can be doing things as a family, like we’re not in a toxic place. He’s got a sober coach that I’m not privy to… He’s a full-blown alcoholic.”
On the podcast, PK also talked about Dorit speaking of “bankruptcies, gambling, debts, DUIs and that she stood by me. I mean, it’s not exactly true.”
