All You Need Is 3 Ingredients To Make the Pioneer Woman’s ‘Quick & Easy’ Peppermint Fudge
Who wouldn’t want to wake up on Christmas morning and find fudge in their stocking? And thanks to Ree Drummond’s quick and easy fudge recipe, you won’t have to pull an all-nighter to make it happen. Using only three ingredients and about 10 minutes of your busy Christmas Eve schedule, you can make a batch of Peppermint Fudge to put in stockings, bring over to your friend’s house, or leave out for Santa — and make sure you make enough to keep some for yourself!
Drummond’s recipe begins with you lining a square baking pan with aluminum foil and spraying it with cooking spray to prevent your fudge from sticking. Then, in a saucepan on the stove, melt semisweet chocolate chips into a can of condensed milk. You could experiment with different types of chocolate if you prefer dark or white varieties, but Drummond likes to keep it simple with semisweet to really let the peppermint shine.
Pour your chocolate and condensed milk mixture into your baking pan and sprinkle crushed peppermint candies on top. You can also further customize with toppings, too — sprinkles or edible glitter could add a fun touch!
Now here comes the hard part — you have to let your fudge set up in the fridge for at least two hours before cutting it into cubes. But once you’ve done the waiting, you can finally enjoy the fruits of all 10 minutes of your labor!
Package your fudge into goody bags or bring the cubes to your holiday party piled high on a platter. You’re about to be everyone’s favorite friend when you show up with fudge (and no one has to know it took you less time than it would to buy it from a store!).
