Fodor's Travel names two NYC hotels among top 100 in the world
NEW YORK (PIX11) -- Every day, weary travelers book accommodations at a vast array of hotels around the globe, catering to preferences and budgets ranging from high-end suites to more affordable lodging options.
Travelers arriving in New York City have an abundance of stays to choose from, with the metropolitan area boasting over 700 hotels, according to a 2020 report from the Department of City Planning.
Determining the best hotels to stay at can be a challenging task. However, the team at Fodor's Travel has compiled a list of their top accommodations around the world, with two hotels from New York City making the final cut.
Here are the New York City hotels selected in the 100 Most Incredible Hotels in the World for 2025.
The Beekman, a Thompson Hotel
Nestled in Lower Manhattan, this luxurious award-winning landmark has housed the likes of Ralph Waldo Emerson, Mark Twain, Henry David Thoreau, and Edgar Allen Poe. The Beekman also boasts a prime location for tourists, within walking distance of the iconic Brooklyn Bridge and City Hall Park. It is easily accessible via public transportation, with nearby subway lines A, C, 2, 3, 4, 5, J, Z, R, and W.
The hotel is also nominated for Travel + Leisure's 2025 World's Best Awards. Voting takes place through Feb. 25, 2025.
