No injuries in Pittsfield unoccupied structure fire
PITTSFIELD, Mass (NEWS10)-- Pittsfield Fire Department officials are investigating an early Sunday morning fire in an unoccupied home on South Street. No one was hurt, and the fire didn't appear suspicious.
Crews were called to the blaze at 2:06 a.m. and found the two-story detached barn and garage fully involved. Officials added that three homes were within 100 feet of the fire but never were in danger of catching fire.
With the extreme cold, crews requested the Hinsdale Fire Department to respond with an FF Rehab bus. Fire officials said they were on the scene until a little after 6 a.m., extinguishing hot spots.
Crews remained on the scene after the fire was put out to prevent it from rekindling. Stay with NEWS10 for more information.
