FORECAST DISCUSSION:
This weekend kicks off with well below average temperatures across Central Ohio. High will only reach 30 degrees in the city with a wind chill in the low 20s. Winds will be fairly breezy in the morning, but as high pressure system moves closer in, those winds will calm down by this evening.
A very chilly night is expected as temperatures are going to fall into the teens. Winds will be very light across the area as well. Overall it will be quiet as far as the weather goes.
Tomorrow brings much clearer skies as that center of high pressure will sit right over the region. Brisk temperatures will still be expected as highs will stay below the freezing point. Wind speeds are also staying light. These cold temperatures are leaving as a warming trend begins.
Going into the holiday week the jet stream will begin to lift and warmer temps move into Central Ohio. High are going to be back in the low 40s on Monday. A few rain shower chances will pop up late Monday into early Tuesday. Spotty drizzle remains on Christmas Day with temps in the mid 40. The 50s return by this weekend.
