How much snow will fall in New York City?
NEW YORK (PIX11) – Could snow in New York City on Friday lead to it becoming a winter wonderland?
A special weather statement is in effect for parts of the Big Apple, including the Bronx and Queens, due to the rain/snow mix. The wet weather is expected to make the roads messy ahead of the Friday evening commute, according to PIX11 meteorologists.
And, unfortunately, you're probably not going to be able to build a snowman.
The city is only expected to get less than an inch of snow accumulation, according to the National Weather Service. Long Island will get even less than that.
Some locations north and west of New York City could possibly get over an inch of snow, the NWS said.
