Firefighters knock down house fire in NE Oklahoma City
OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) - Fire crews responded to a house fire in NE Oklahoma City Friday morning.
According to the Oklahoma City Fire Department, crews responded to a home near NE 12th St. and Bryant Ave.
Officials say the residents noticed smoke around 10 p.m. Thursday night, but it went away. They woke up around 3 a.m. Friday morning and noticed more smoke.
Firefighters determined the cause of the fire to be a malfunctioning wall heater. Fire officials are reminding residents to service old heaters and to make sure smoke alarms are working properly.
Crews knocked the fire down quickly and no injuries have been reported.
