Franklin woman dies in single-vehicle crash, state police say
BALDWIN, La. (KLFY) -- A 49-year-old Franklin woman died early this morning after her vehicle overturned on U.S. 90 near Louisiana Highway 83, according to Louisiana State Police.
Troopers said the crash occurred shortly after 2 a.m. and claimed the life of Daphne Spain.
Spain was reportedly driving a 2016 Infiniti QX8 east on U.S. 90. As the vehicle exited onto the La 83 exit ramp, the vehicle "traveled off the roadway to the left and overturned," troopers said.
Authorities said Spain was unrestrained and was ejected from the vehicle. She was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
