The Dragon Prince is back!
The Netflix TV series is set to debut Season 7 on the streamer today (Thursday, December 19).
Here’s the official logline: “Aaravos is out in a big way! It’s not too late to catch up on The Dragon Prince before the season 7 culmination and climax of the great fantasy saga. As Aaravos and Claudia seek to destroy the cosmic order and invert life and death, our heroes must literally be ready to sacrifice anything and everything they love and believe in to save the world! This season will be more thrilling, magical, and heartbreaking than ever.”
The season consists of nine episodes, which will all be released simultaneously, exclusively on Netflix.

The total runtime for this season will be 251 minutes (4.18 hours), via What’s On Netflix.
The cast includes Jack De Sena as Callum, Paula Borrows as Rayla, Sasha Rojen as Ezran, Jesse Inocalla as Soren, Racquel Belmonte as Claudia, Luc Roderique as Karim, Erik Dellums as Aaravos, Omari Newton as Corvus, Benjamin Callins as Terry, Adrian Petriw as Gren, Rena Anakwe as Janai, Nicole Oliver as Zubeia, and Jonathan Holmes as Runaan, via Collider.
Back in July 2020, Netflix renewed the series for Seasons 4 through 7, dubbed “Mystery of Aaravos,” leading many to believe that this is the final season of the series.
However, at 2024 San Diego Comic Con, the show’s creators revealed that they’ve been planning a potential third saga for the series, which would consist of three more seasons, bringing the total number of seasons to 10.
Netflix has not yet renewed the series. The Dragon Prince team stressed that a third saga could only happen if there is enough support from fans with high ratings, via ComicBook.com. Stay tuned to see if that happens!
