Morning Briefing: Arenado Blocks Trade To Astros
Good morning, Mets fans!
In an offseason that has seen many high-level trades, another one seemed to be on the precipice as Nolan Arenado was potentially being moved to the Houston Astros. However, the platinum glove winner used his no-trade clause to stop those trade talks dead in their tracks, per Mark Feinsand of MLB.com. Houston is looking at other third-base options as their All-Star at the hot corner, Alex Bregman, is a free agent with several suitors.
Arenado earlier on gave a list of teams he would accept a trade to: Dodgers, Angels, Padres, Mets, Phillies, and Red Sox.
