Good morning to play inside
Hello Friends,
As expected, it’s not really a morning for a surf. Apart from the rain and run-off shandied water, 20-30 kts of south wind meant only the most protected corners weren’t chopped to junk. The MHL data from 0700 showed a dead south 3 metre, 8-second period swell offshore. The size is staying well offshore because I didn’t see any wave faces much above the chest high mark at the most exposed spots. Mostly it’s really small, even in the windy spots. On the good side, Beachwatch says water’s a proper summery 22C (six degrees warmer than the air this morning!).
Tomorrow looks like being pretty similar to today but minus actual rain and with SE wind. My hopes are pinned on Friday morning for the early. If the models have it right, wind should be light and there should be some waist+ faces on offer at the better exposures.
We shall see…
Go well with your day!
Weather Situation
A strong and gusty southerly change is crossing the southern and central waters today and will continue crossing the northern coastal waters through Wednesday morning.
