Grid for Good application process opens for 2025
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- National Grid and 518ElevatED are bringing a unique pre-employment exploration program to Capital Region young professionals for the second year. On Tuesday, the application process for the 2025 Grid for Good program opened to students interested in careers within the public energy sector.
The collaborative program offers students a chance to gain hands-on exploration with multiple job opportunities in the energy field. Applicants with experience and background in engineering, electrical engineering, and sustainable energy are prioritized.
Selected work-ready adults 18 or older will participate in the dynamic program, which combines soft skill communications development with career pathway exploration. When the program ends in June, participants earn a $1,000 cash stipend and an additional $500 for each job-seeking campaign by buying professional attire and transportation for interviews.
The program is free to apply for. Students interested in applying can request an application by emailing info@518elevated.org before January 10, 2025.
