15-year-old girl kills teacher and classmate in the US
Foreign media reports have revealed a deadly shooting involving a 15-year-old student in Wisconsin, United States, which resulted in the deaths of three people, including the shooter.
According to Reuters, citing the police, the shooting occurred on the morning of Monday, December 16, at the private “Abundant Life” school in Madison, the capital of Wisconsin, a city with a population of 270,000.
The incident was first reported by an 8-year-old student to the police, but upon arrival, authorities found three people dead, including the student responsible for the shooting.
Reuters also reported that the motive behind the shooting remains unclear. After killing her teacher and a fellow student, the young girl shot herself and died.
Six other students were injured in the incident, with two of them reported to be in critical condition.
Reports indicate that there have been 322 school shootings in the United States this year, though mass shootings carried out by girls or women are rare.
This tragic event raises critical questions about the rising violence in schools and the increasing number of shootings, especially in light of the fact that female perpetrators are extremely rare. The incident highlights a growing concern about school safety, mental health, and the need for stronger gun control measures to prevent future tragedies.
