Christina Haack May Have Replaced Josh Hall With This Familiar Face on 'The Flip Off'
Christina Haack might not be alone when HGTV’s The Flip Off premieres on Jan. 29, 2025. It seems that she has a new partner to replace her estranged husband, Josh Hall, on the show — and his face is already familiar to everyone. And no, it’s not her second ex-husband, Ant Anstead.
In a new promo for the reality show, Haack is partnered up with her contractor, Michael Lange, as they face off against her first ex-husband Tarek El Moussa, and his wife, Heather Rae El Moussa. Lange isn’t tagged in the social media post on Instagram, but viewers knew right away who it was. In fact, the contractor was already a part of Haack’s dating life speculation in early December — now, the truth is revealed.
While fans don’t know if he’s officially her partner-in-crime on the show to help her battle the El Moussas, it appears Lange is at least a part of the “trusted team” that HGTV teased in a Dec. 12 press release. The handyman got caught up in a flurry of headlines earlier this month when Haack featured him helping her with her holiday decorations. “There are still good men left. One of them right here single handedly hoisted this 11 foot tree into my home. Appreciate you,” she wrote in a Dec. 2 Instagram Story.
The situation only got crazier two days later when a cozy snapshot of them at the nursery fueled the rumors. “Putting in the work,” she wrote on the second photo. He reposted the image and added, “Shopping with the queen of @hgtv.” Haack had to stop the gossip in its tracks by letting everyone know the real truth.
“Slow news day…” she wrote in her Instagram Story. “I should be able to post pictures with my MARRIED male friends and male co-workers without it being an omg look who she’s dating thing. So bizarre and ridiculous.” The 41-year-old TV personality also teased her pending divorce from Hall, adding, “Dear the media… I have plenty of interesting things to say (especially when it comes to my latest divorce) – we don’t need to invent things.”
Lange has been spotted in behind-the-scenes footage during production, so his participation would make sense. He’s also a longtime colleague of Haack’s, having worked on her other HGTV show, Christina on the Coast.
As for Anstead, he will be making a cameo on one of the episodes which comes after several years of public feuds from the former couple. It shows how much progress they’ve made in their co-parenting relationship. As for Hall? Well, he’s still negotiating his settlement with Haack which could include the rights to The Flip Off since he was initially a part of the main cast.
