Patterson woman charged with stealing from St. Mary Parish schools
CENTERVILLE, La. (KLFY) -- A Patterson woman has been arrested and is accused of stealing from the St. Mary Parish school board, authorities said.
Dinah Dru Richard, 31, of Patterson, was arrested Friday afternoon and charged with forgery, theft over $5,000 and malfeasance in office.
St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office detectives were dispatched Dec. 11 to a theft complaint at the St. Mary Parish School Board Office in Centerville.
Detectives said the school board credit card had been used for personal use by a school board employee, and found evidence to suggest that a forgery had been committed in order to sign off on the purchases.
After being questioned, Richard was arrested and to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bond details were not released.
The investigation is ongoing, officials said.
