Louisiana Office of Motor Vehicles system back up after statewide outage
UPDATE, 1 p.m.: OMV’s system has been restored, according to an email from OMV.
"All OMV field offices can process transactions," the email reads. "Residents should visit www.expresslane.org to reschedule appointments and utilize online services. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused."
ORIGINAL STORY: NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Officials with the Louisiana Office of Motor Vehicle announced they are experiencing an outage of the state's system.
In a post to Facebook, officials said the system is temporarily down and that they are unable to process driver's license, vehicle registration and reinstatement transactions.
"We appreciate your patience as our vendor works to restore service. Updates will be posted here as soon as the system is operational again."
Currently, there is no estimated time of restoration.
