Two injured, one arrested after Pittsfield stabbing
PITTSFIELD, Mass. (NEWS10) -- The Pittsfield Police Department announced an arrest has been made following a stabbing on December 11. Jacob Frusciente, 32, of Pittsfield, is facing multiple charges.
On Wednesday around midnight, police responded to a home on Harvard Street after receiving reports of an assault. Arriving officers found a man and woman with stab wounds at the scene.
The two victims were taken to Berkshire Medical Center to be treated for their injuries. Pittsfield Police said they are both expected to survive.
Frusciente was identified as a suspect during the ensuing investigation, leading to him being taken into custody. He was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon resulting in serious bodily injury.
Frusciente is believed to be familiar with the two victims, according to police. He was arraigned at Central Berkshire District Court on December 12.
