Anis Hadj Moussa backed to succeed if he earns Tottenham transfer
Tottenham are interested in Anis Hadj Moussa who is making waves in the Eredivisie this season, and the player’s former teammate is confident that he has the tools to succeed at a club like Spurs.
Spurs one of several clubs eyeing 22-year-old winger
The player in question is Feyenoord wide-man, Anis Hadj Moussa, who has had an exceptional start to his spell at the Dutch club since joining them in the summer.
The silky left-footer has found the back of the net six times so far this season, with three of those goals coming in the Champions League.
The 22-year-old’s impressive displays on Europe’s biggest stage, particularly his showing against Manchester City, has reportedly brought him to the attention of several Premier League sides.
Anis Hadj Moussa backed to succeed at Tottenham
This update came last week from The Sun, who revealed that Spurs, Leicester City and Liverpool were all keeping tabs on the wide man.
The outlet explained that Feyenoord are ready to sell the Algeria international in January if they receive offers in the region of £10m.
Moussa‘s former teammate, Henk Dijkhuizen, who played with the winger at the Belgian side, Patro Eisden, has now backed the attacker to succeed in the Premier League.
He told Voetbal Primeur’s DoneDeal podcast (as relayed by Sport Witness): “He once played us completely crazy, and then scored twice. Then we said to each other: if we can have that, we will become champions.
“From the moment he came in you immediately saw that boy has quality. In everything he did. His assumptions, his feeling for the ball.
“If you read that (about Tottenham), it’s just great. Now it’s up to him to make the right choice, but if he continues to develop like this, he could make it there. All I can say is that he is a very sweet, timid boy. He is very eager to learn and grateful.”
Arne Slot connection may give Liverpool an advantage
The aforementioned report which talked about Tottenham’s, Liverpool’s and Leicester’s interest in Moussa, also mentioned that it was Arne Slot who made the decision to bring the winger to Feyenoord before the Dutch coach made the switch to Liverpool in the summer.
If that is the case, Slot would have a relationship with the Algerian and that might potentially give the Reds a huge advantage over the likes of Spurs and Leicester in the race for the player.
