A huge 19,300sqm open space will have a multi-purpose plaza which will be able to host live music, festivals and markets.
The beach and coastline will also be revamped by Quay Street and the harbour.
And the River Bracken will be upgraded, with canal-side pathways and plants.
Playgrounds will also be upgraded, with more tree planted and car parking spaced added.
Mayor of Fingal, Cllr Howard Mahony said: “This project will help transform the area into a much more people-oriented public space.
“Along with enhancing the appeal of the location, a new commercial building and two new kiosks will be built on the site of a former nightclub in the harbour area to accommodate visitor and leisure activities.”
Works have already started and hope to be completed by the end of 2025.
The huge renovation is part of the larger €50million Our Balbriggan Rejuvenation Programme.
The coastal town is around 40 minutes from Dublin, which has cheap UK flights.
The fastest flight is from Bristol, with Ryanair having £14.99 flights that take just over an hour.
Brits can then hop on a direct train to Balbriggan Station.
In the mean time, the towns top attraction is Ardgillan Castle, with walking tours of the 18th century house.
Or there is the unique Salt Cave attraction, offering spa experiences in underground caves.
