“I think I’ve decided not to retire, but to have power rests,” he said, adding: “I meditate a lot.”

Jim did take a break after Sonic 2, and has not appeared in a movie since. At the time, he said he’d only come out of retirement “if the angels bring some sort of script that’s written in gold ink.”
“That might’ve been hyperbole, yeah,” he admitted to AP earlier in the month. “I came back to this universe because I get to play a genius, which is a bit of a stretch. And you know, I bought a lot of stuff and I need the money, frankly.”
He recently told ComicBook.com that he’d be open to also reprising his role as The Grinch, following the 2000 live-action film. However, it might look different today.
“The thing about it is, on the day, I do that with a ton of makeup and can hardly breathe,” he said. “It was an extremely excruciating process.”
“The children were in my mind all the time. ‘It’s for the kids. It’s for the kids. It’s for the kids.’ And now, with motion capture and things like that, I could be free to do other things. Anything is possible in this world,” he added.
