Max George reveals his very low heart rate after telling fans he needs a pacemaker following hospital admission
MAX George revealed his very low heart rate today just hours after telling fans he needs a pacemaker.
The 36-year-old star was admitted to hospital last week with heart issues and is doing his best to remain upbeat while doctors investigate what’s wrong.

The football mad star wrote over the top of his video: “Come on Man City, sort me out will ya?!”
According to the British Heart Foundation, a normal resting heart rate is between 60 to 100 beats per minute.
However, younger adults who exercise regularly may have a slower heart rate than 60bpm.
Max, who has ditched booze after previous liver problems, will need a device fitted to stabilise his heart rate at a higher level.
He said: “The latest is that 100 per cent I am going to have a little friend put in here somewhere at some point.
“I have got an issue with the bottom part of my heart — it is called a block.
“The tricky bit is what I have put in because until I have further tests, we don’t know what caused it.
“We have cancelled out a few things like alcohol for example. I have not had a drink for 4½ years, so it isn’t that.”
Max went sober after he was told by a doctor his liver count was low following years of boozing on tour.
He went on: “My heart rate is really, really low, which they are monitoring 24/7. Everyone has been amazing but the waiting bit is tough, do you know what I mean?
“But yeah, it is just one of those things unfortunately and whatever I get I have just got to get on with it really and we are hoping pacemaker. Pacemaker is good.”
On Friday, Max’s girlfriend Maisie Smith, 23, was seen out for the first time since he was rushed to hospital.
The ex-EastEnders actress wrapped up in a long black coat and green scarf as she left The Marlowe Theatre in Canterbury, Kent, where she is playing Belle in Beauty and the Beast.
Max’s shock hospital admission comes two years after his Wanted bandmate and best pal Tom Parker died of brain cancer aged just 33.
