Jamie Foxx reportedly injured in altercation at Beverly Hills restaurant
(KTLA) — Actor and musician Jamie Foxx suffered an injury that required stitches during an altercation at a high-end Beverly Hills restaurant on Friday night, according to reporting from TMZ.
Foxx, who turned 57 on Friday, was dining with family at Mr. Chow when patrons at a nearby table hurled rude and vulgar insults to the "In Living Color" and "Ray" star, a witness told TMZ.
After Foxx asked the party to stop, a person at the table allegedly threw a glass at him. It hit him in the mouth and required stitches, a representative for Foxx told both TMZ and Page Six.
In a statement, the Beverly Hills Police Department confirmed an incident had taken place at Mr. Chow on Friday night but didn't mention Foxx by name.
The department said officers responded to reports of an assault with a deadly weapon at the restaurant at about 10:06 p.m. After an investigation, the department determined that the report was "unfounded" and was instead an "altercation between parties."
A report documenting the "battery" was produced by officers, but as of Saturday no arrests have been made.
No additional details were immediately made available.
