Ruth Langsford suffers more heartbreak as her beloved mum rushed to hospital after nasty fall
RUTH Langsford has revealed her mum is in hospital after a nasty fall as fans flooded the star with support.
The Loose Women presenter took to social media to reveal her Christmas plans have been thrown into chaos by Joan’s injury.
Ruth, 64, told fans she has fractured her pelvis and is in hospital recovering.
Sharing a clip of her elderly mum dancing in her kitchen while peeling potatoes, Ruth penned: “No dancing in my kitchen peeling the veg for my darling Mum this Christmas….
“She’s had a fall and fractured her pelvis! She’s ok…ish, no surgery required thank goodness but she needs rest and time to heal now.
“She’s in hospital at the moment but I’m hoping to get her home soon.
TV star Ruth added: “This time last year she fell and broke her hip but recovered well…she’s a very strong woman so I’m sure she’ll recover from this too.
“Put’s life and what’s important into perspective eh? Happy Christmas!”
Her celebrity pals rallied round her with support, with Lizzie Cundy writing: “Sending you so much love . Hoping Mum will be back dancing very soon .Sending huge hugs my darling.”
Lucy Alexander replied: “Sending you a huge hug Ruthie… I know how much you love your mum. Hope she’s on the mend soon.”
Chef Juliet Sear added: “Bless her sending all the love and healing vibes.”
Ruth has previously opened up about Joan’s health battle as she receives care in a home while living with Dementia.
She is incredibly close to her mum and previously broke down in tears over not being able to visit during the peak of coronavirus lockdown rules.
Joan regularly features in Ruth’s social media updates as she visits her on the weekends, where they prepare dinner together.
It comes as The Sun revealed how Ruth’s estranged husband Eamonn Holmes is set to marry his girlfriend Katie Alexander.
