Ange Postecoglou has had issues up front this season, with Richarlison‘s injury woes meaning that he is lacking a natural backup for Dominic Solanke.
It emerged back in September that one man on the Lilywhites’ radar is Everton’s Dominic Calvert-Lewin, whose current deal at Goodison Park runs out next summer.
The report suggested that Tottenham see the England international as someone who ‘ticks all the boxes’ to lead their line, with Postecoglou believing that he would be the ideal backup to Solanke.

The Sun have now offered some good news for Spurs, revealing that Everton are now ready to listen to offers for their number nine.
It is explained that Calvert-Lewin has refused to sign a new deal, with the Merseyside club thus keen to cash in on him in the upcoming transfer window.
The report says that an offer of around £20m might be enough to prise away the centre-forward from the Merseyside club.
However, it is explained that Arsenal are also sniffing around the striker, with Mikel Arteta’s side looking to bolster their frontline in a bid to boost their title push.
Other clubs also interested in Calvert-Lewin
The Sun further reveal that the 27-year-old is also on the radar of AC Milan, who are scouring the market for a number nine in January.
Meanwhile, West Ham and Newcastle are also said to be keeping an eye on Calvert-Lewin’s current situation at Everton.
The experienced striker will be free to sign a pre-contract agreement with non-English clubs from the start of next month, owing to his contract situation.
