Jennifer Love Hewitt Officially Returning for 'I Know What You Did Last Summer' Sequel
Jennifer Love Hewitt is officially reprising her role as Julie James in the upcoming I Know What You Did Last Summer sequel!
The 45-year-old actress is joining former co-star Freddie Prinze Jr. as the two original stars who will return for the upcoming third movie in the franchise.
Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, best known for writing and directing the Netflix movie Do Revenge, is the writer and director on the upcoming film.
“I will say it is truly such an honor, at 45, to even be invited back. To be thought of in that way, to not just move on to the newer, better, younger versions, but [to be offered] to come back and play that part is really cool,” Jennifer told Variety.
Earlier this week, Jennifer explained why she didn’t immediately sign on for the project.
Jennifer starred in the original 1997 movie and then reprised her role in the 1998 sequel I Still Know What You Did Last Summer.
The cast of young stars for the upcoming movie, which will be released in theaters on July 18, includes Chase Sui Wonders, Madelyn Cline, Sarah Pidgeon, Tyriq Withers, Jonah Hauer-King, Lola Tung, Nicholas Alexander Chavez, Austin Nichols and Gabbriette.
