Street Peace Project in Troy aims to stop violence
TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Messages of peace are being gathered in Troy for a street peace project. It started in light of violent tragedies in the area in recent years.
One woman decided to reclaim the space with hope and good will. A beacon has been sitting in a parking lot for 10 weeks, and over 1,100 messages of positivity have found their way on it.
People from all walks of life put have put an encouraging message on the beacon.
