Pokémon TCG Pocket gets its first major expansion with new EX, full-art and immersives
POKÉMON has just revealed that a new expansion pack is coming soon to TCG Pocket.
Starting from Tuesday, December 17, 2024, a new booster pack set will be added to the rotation of cards.
Mythical Island features Mew on the cover, and there will be more than 80 additional cards that players can pull.
This includes a number of new ex cards, full-art cards, and at least one new immersive card for TCG Pocket.
In terms of full art, we’ve seen Dedenne, Vaporeon, and Marshadow, but there will undoubtedly be more, in particular for the five new EX cards.
The trailer showed us the new Mew EX and Aerodactyl EX cards, but the set description also includes a new Celebi EX card.
The set description reads: “Experience wonder and whimsy with a new expansion’s worth of cards coming to the Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket!
“Classic Mythical Pokémon Mew and Celebi are powerful Pokémon EX ready to add extra magic to your collection.
“The Mythical Island expansion features over 80 cards, including five new exciting Pokémon EX cards, five new Trainer cards, and gorgeous immersive cards ready to bring you into the wondrous world of Pokémon.”
The full set list has not been announced but we saw a number of new cards as part of the trailer.

- Snivy, Servine & Serperior
- Morelull & Shinotic
- Dhelmise
- Magmar
- Tauros
- Larvesta & Volcarona
- Blue
- Leaf
- Mew EX
- Aerodactyl EX
- Celebi EX
- Vaporeon – full art
- Marshadow – full art
- Dedenne – full art
The new set of cards will also come with some new cosmetics, such as binder covers and display boards.
