Critics Choice Film Awards 2025 nominations: Best prediction scores by our editors and users
Congratulations to Gold Derby user simonlucabarletta for an astounding score of 93.85% when predicting the 2025 Critics Choice Awards movie nominations on Thursday morning. The top scorer is just ahead of five people who tied at 92.31% and has a great point score of 18,502 by using the two Super Bets (500 points each) wisely.
Over 2,100 fans worldwide predicted these film nominees with our top scorer getting 61 out of 64 nominee slots correct. Some of the toughest choices picked accurately were “A Complete Unknown” (Best Picture), Coralie Fargeat for “The Substance” (Best Director), and “Wicked” for Best Adapted Screenplay.

For our 11 Gold Derby editors predicting, Daniel Montgomery and Christopher Rosen are tied at 86.15%. We then have Charles Bright, Denton Davidson, and Joyce Eng at 83.08%. Ray Richmond is next at 81.54%, and then a tie at 80.00% for Marcus James Dixon and myself. Finishing at 76.92% are Matt Noble and Rob Licuria, and then Debra Birnbaum follows at 69.23%.
