Mum-of-22 Sue Radford reveals ‘strange’ milestone she’s hit as she poses with daughter, 4, in Christmas nativity costume
WITH 22 children, Sue Radford has seen her fair share of school nativities.
So the family matriarch, 49, was somewhat overcome with emotion as she attended her last ever reception show to watch her youngest child Heidie in action.
Sue took to her Instagram page to share a snap of herself posing with four-year-old Heidie, as they both grinned for the camera.
“Just watched Heidie’s nativity,” Sue wrote over the picture.
“Such a strange feeling to know that was the last reception nativity I’ll go to for our children.”
Sue also revealed that Heidie – who appeared to have been an angel in the show – and her classmates “did so amazing”.
The busy mum frequently shares insights into her family life on her social media pages.
And in another post on her Stories this week, she revealed the incredible amount of milk they get through on a daily basis as a family of 22.
Holding up a humungous bottle of whole milk, Sue complained that there wasn’t “a scrap of milk in the fridge”.
She added: “I bought 18 pints last night. That’s some going, kids!”
But luckily Sue and her brood were out for a lot of the day, as they went to see the Disney On Ice Road Trip Adventures show at the AO Arena in Manchester.
Sharing some pictures from the ice rink, Sue gushed that the production had been “absolutely brilliant”, adding that the “kids love it”.
Sue and husband Noel are gearing up for a busy few weeks with their kids, with Christmas just around the corner.
And the matriarch opened up about just how many presents she has to buy, leaving fans stunned in the process.
Sue revealed she typically spends between £100 and £250 on each of their children, buying around 300 gifts in total.
With this huge task in mind, the Morecambe-based mum shared on her YouTube channel how she was helping her kids write their Christmas lists.
In the clip, Sue and Noel read out some of the requests, and this year the kids are hoping for slime, make-up, sweets, headphones, a PlayStation 5 controller, and a colouring set, among other toys.
“Slime seems to be quite popular across the board here,” Noel laughed.
The Radford Family's TV history
THE first ever episode of 22 Kids and Counting aired on Channel 5 on 22nd February, 2021.
After the first series – which had just four episodes in it – performed well, Channel 5 commissioned a 10-episode second season, which was broadcast in 2022.
They went on to commission a third series, which included a Christmas special aired in December 2023.
The fourth season began airing in January 2024, but fans were left disappointed when it stopped after six episodes.
Sue and Noel reassured viewers that they were just taking a little break, and the next episode will be airing on 21st July.

This seems a lot more affordable than previous years, with Sue sharing one Christmas how she had spent hours searching for a PS5 and a particular Barbie doll’s house but had to have a rethink when she saw the price.
“We have had to give up on the PS5 and we got the doll’s house eventually, but the cost was disgusting,” she admitted.
“It is supposed to be £240 but one site was offering it for over £700,” she explained.
