EWAN McGregor’s daughter Esther posed on the red carpet with Nicole Kidman at the premiere of their new film.
Esther, 23, looked gorgeous in a black thigh-split dress while attending the Los Angeles screening of Babygirl at DGA Theater Complex last night.
The actress put on a warm display with lead star Nicole, 57, who stunned in a strapless, figure-hugging gown adorned with floral embellishments.
Her outfit was accessorised by a black belt tied into a bow at her waist, while a flowing train trailed elegantly behind her.
Esther, who plays Nicole’s teenage daughter Isabel in the film, wore her blonde locks in a front swept do and added a touch of glamour with gold drop earrings.
Ewan has five children: Clara, 28, Esther, 23, Jamyan, also 23, and Anouk, 13, with his first wife Eve Mavrakis, and Laurie, three, with his current partner Mary Elizabeth Winstead.
Esther made her acting debut alongside her father, Ewan, in the 2022 Disney+ miniseries Obi-Wan Kenobi, playing the character Tetha Grig.
Later that year, Ewan reflected on the experience during an appearance on The Late Late Show With James Corden.
The Golden Globe winner, who starred alongside Nicole in 2001’s Moulin Rouge, explained: “I’m sure everybody thinks she got the job because of me, but really she didn’t. She auditioned for the role.
“You don’t really know with your kids until that moment when I was acting with her and it felt really normal and natural.”
Beyond acting, Esther has built a career in modelling, working with luxury brands like Miu Miu and Celine.
She also appeared in a Fendi campaign in 2018, alongside her older sister, Clara.
Babygirl follows the story of an successful businesswoman called Romy (Nicole) and her raunchy affair with her younger intern Samuel (Harris Dickinson)
There are plenty of saucy sex scenes in the upcoming blockbuster – and one scene in particular left Harris feeling a little “embarrassed”.
In the section, director Halina Reijin asked him to dance to a George Michael song naked, while in a hotel room.
Recalling the moment, Harris told Variety: “That was just me moving. Halina put the song and said ‘just dance’.
“So I just had a little groove…
“Maybe I had a little whiskey before.
“But it was embarrassing.”
Before working together on set, they had a chat with an intimacy coordinator to find out what they were happy with doing.
Harris said: “We’d have a discussion with the intimacy coordinator and then Nicole and I kind of did our own thing with it once we set the parameters of what we were both comfortable with.
“The intimacy coordinator is saying: ‘What are you comfortable with, what do you want as a director, what are you comfortable doing from that vision?’
“They’re facilitating that and doing it very delicately without interrupting the actual scene.”
Meanwhile Nicole also made a shocking revelation earlier this week.
The Undoing star was so “turned on” during some scenes that they had to pause filming.
She said: “There was an enormous amount of sharing and trust and then frustration.

The Perfect Couple – Nicole indulged in a steamy romp with her best friend’s ex in The Perfect Couple. She appears opposite Ray Donovan star Liev Schreiber, 56, as married couple Greer and Tag Winbury. There was viewer speculation on how their steamy scenes might be awkward, due to Nicole’s close friendship with Liev’s ex partner Naomi Watts. According to US outlet Entertainment Weekly, Nicole reached out to her pal prior to playing onscreen spouses with her former beau. “We always check in, we’re besties”, Naomi told the publication, before adding: “That was very kind of her to do that.”
Eyes Wide Shut – This was one of Nicole’s more famous roles and saw her star opposite her first husband Tom Cruise. The erotic mystery movie is packed full of extra-marital sex and orgies with Nicole’s character at the centre.
Billy Bathgate – Back in 1991, Nicole was left stripping off on multiple occasions for movie Bily Bathgate. Co-starring Dustin Hoffman, Nicole was a young and married socialite who found herself often nude in the racy movie.
The Paperboy – Nicole was seen romping again with a younger man in The Paperboy as she got down with Zac Efron. Aged 44, Nicole found herself getting intimate with Hollywood heartthrob Zac Efron. Zac described the sex scenes with Nicole as “the highlight of my life”. Speaking at the time about filming the sex scenes, she said: “For me the freedom of her sexuality was important. I didn’t want to be saying ‘No’ to anything, which is an important part of being an actor, is learning not to shut down and not to say ‘No,’ and be completely free. I think as you get older you get a little more frightened – that’s the thing that makes me want to go, ‘Oh, screw this, I just want to push through that,’ and never stop myself from fighting through my own insecurities.”

The person behind the scenes were the TV and film intimacy coordinator Lizzy Talbot – who started her career in 2015.
Speaking to casting agency Spotlight earlier this year, Izzy explained the process of how intimacy coordination works in practice on set – and there’s a whole bunch of paperwork involved.
She explained actors fill out ‘intimacy riders’ at the beginning of filming, in which they set out their limits and boundaries for what they are prepared to film in the way of intimacy and ‘simulated sex’ – to ensure everyone feels safe and comfortable.
Babygirl, which debuted in August at the 81st Venice International Film Festival, hits our screens in the UK on January 10 next year.
The film is released in the US on Christmas Day 2024.
