And then there were four.
After the eliminations of Andy Rueda and Genevieve Mushaluk from the 13th episode of “Survivor 47,” the contest to win the $1 million grand prize was narrowed down to just Rachel LaMont, Sam Phalen, Sue Smey, and Teeny Chirichillo. Prior to the two-hour season finale airing next week on Dec. 18, CBS gave viewers a special 30-second sneak peek of the big event at the end of Wednesday’s penultimate episode.
In the trailer, Jeff Probst was seen moderating the final immunity challenge of the season, something that looked like an obstacle course involving crawling under nets and getting covered in mud. “You want it, this is where you step up and grab it,” declared the four-time Emmy-winning host.
Then each of the final four castaways gave testimonials directly to the camera:
Rachel: “This is the last stand. The final battle … My only option is to kick ass.”
Sue: “I want to scream! I’m so pumped!”
Sam: “You don’t want to play 25 days and come up that short.”
Teeny: “This is gonna be a bloodbath.”

All of the remaining advantages were revealed in the last episode, with Rachel using her Block A Vote and her hidden immunity idol at the final six, and Sue playing her hidden immunity idol at the final five. Rachel’s life in the game was saved by her idol, resulting in Andy’s ouster from the game. Meanwhile, Sue was never in danger, but she played her idol anyway because it was expiring that night.
Now, all that remains is a final immunity challenge, where one person will secure a necklace that will sail them through to the last tribal council. That player will get to take one person with them, thereby forcing the other two to compete for a shot in the final three via a fire-making competition.
