Kyle PD: 38-year-old arrested, accused of possessing 14 pounds of 'psychedelic drugs'

AUSTIN (KXAN) -- A 38-year-old man was arrested last week after he was accused of possessing approximately 14 pounds of "psychedelic drugs," the Kyle Police Department said in a news release.
Erich Spannhake, of Kyle, is now facing new charges filed with a new arrest last week on Dec. 6, according to police. It follows a drug arrest from back in April. Evidence from that was tested and later confirmed, according to a forensic lab, to be testosterone and Dimethyltryptamine, also known as DMT, the release said.
Police said Spannhake is also facing evading and resisting arrest charges.
“This arrest highlights our continuous commitment to remove these dangerous drugs from our community.” Kyle Police Chief, Dr. Jeff Barnett, said in the release.
