‘Wicked’ Flies High With Another Week as Top Title Consumers Are Most Excited About
What are the entertainment offerings that consumers are most excited about? It’s a question that marketers, distributors, advertisers and media publications are always asking.
ScreenShare, a data partnership between Screen Engine/ASI and TheWrap, tracks the Top 10 most-mentioned entertainment options every week and whether each has gained or lost momentum compared to the prior week. The chart lives on the Data & Analysis page of the WrapPRO Members Hub.
Universal Pictures’ “Wicked” and Disney’s “Moana 2” continue to hold the No. 1 and No. 2 spots, respectively, as “Moana 2” has already surpassed its 2016 predecessor in domestic box office earnings. “NFL Football” moves into the Top 3 at No. 3, and “Super Bowl LIX” makes its first appearance on the list, coming in at No. 10.
“Gladiator II” and “Yellowstone” both dip one spot to No. 4 and No. 5, respectively, as the “Yellowstone” series nears an end on Dec. 15. Christmas action comedy “Red One” remains at No. 6 and will be streaming on Amazon Prime Video beginning Dec. 12. Interest in Paramount Pictures’ “Sonic the Hedgehog 3,” moving up to No. 7, and Disney’s “Mufasa: The Lion King,” debuting on the list at No. 8, continues to grow, both releasing theatrically on Dec. 20. “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” holds firm at No. 9 during the week of its streaming release on Max.
