An emotional Ryan then urged her to tell listeners what had happened as she explained: “Given that I’ve just come from quite a lengthy hospital appointment, it feels like a good time to kind of go into it, because you’ve got more information.
“One of the really tricky things has always been up until now, and with many of my surgeries, is that I’ve never had any answers.
“So it’s been really hard to kind of live without knowing exactly whats cause it.”
She added that she had put a brief update about being in hospital on Instagram but hadn’t explained what had happened to her.
Louise continued: “So Ryan actually had been away for the weekend and I was solo parenting Leo.
“It came to Sunday evening, and I was so lucky because you [Ryan] had come back, and we were in bed that night, and I was in agonising pain, like really, really bad kind of nerve pain in my rectum and shooting through into the pelvic organs at the front of my body, so my gynecological organs.
“I thought, ‘You know what? It’s a Sunday night, it’s always got to be a weekend’ and I will wait until Monday, because there’s no point in me going to any now. There just isn’t, because I know that there won’t be the team of people that are needed to treat me or and I’ll see if I can ride this one out, because I’ve got pretty strong but to be honest I took a whole load of painkillers, and nothing scratched the surface.
“So then I was writhing around in pain all night, and at about 4am I think I’d managed to finally drift off a little bit.
“I was hit with a really excruciating level of pain. And I will say that this is the most amount of pain I’ve ever been in in my life.
“And I’ve probably said that a number of times before, but this was a whole different level, and it was immediately excruciating, as if something inside me had ruptured.
“And I knew from that moment that this was really bad.”
Last month on the podcast’, Ryan presented alone as he revealed Louise had gone back into hospital.
In an emotional solo recording, he told listeners: “I can’t believe we’re back in this situation.
“My heart beat is skipping around all over the place which is an indication of how heavy and raw it all feels.
“It’s very unexpected and a difficult pill to swallow.”
At the time Louise shared the news she had become ill again with an Instagram post showing her arm in a hospital be attached to a drip.
Speaking to fans after, she shared: “The world feels like it’s been a bit unkind to me again. But today is a new day. And that hopefully means home.”
In January, Louise had a lifesaving stoma bag fitted after a long health battle.
