GILMORE Girls fans go wild with praise as they witness two stars of the show reunite in a new festive project after the series ended 18 years ago.
Set in a storybook Connecticut town populated by a diverse mix of characters, the show was a massive hit with viewers.

Sean Gunn who played Kirk, an eccentric character in the series, is seen walking across a snowy Stars Hollow.
He enters Luke’s diner and places a large branded box on the counter.
As he leaves Kirk nods to Lorelai who then approaches her husband Luke and says: “coffee, coffee, coffee, please.”
The line is a signature phrase from the show and Luke replies: “Coming right up.”
But instead of giving her a drink, he hands her the package which she opens to reveal a coffee machine.
“Awww, Luke. You shouldn’t have,” Lorelai says with a smile.
“I had to, You’re drinking me out of business.” he responds.
Lorelai smiles and rolls her eyes and replies: “Thank you.”
We next see the couple outside in the snow as Lorelai holds the Walmart box.
Fans rushed to social media to post their thoughts on the collaboration.
“Hearing Lauren/Lorelai say “Coffee, coffee, coffee!” in the year 2024 healed something in me.” exclaimed one fan.
A second added: “she’s so happy still living in stars hollow and some things never change.”
“I’m crying.” posted another.
Where are the Gilmore Girls stars now?
The hit show the Gilmore Girls ended nearly a decade ago but what are the stars doing now?
Lauren Graham: Lauren played single mother Lorelai Gilmore in the show. She went on to play another single mother in Parenthood and starred in Vampirina, Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist and The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers. She has also written three books.
Alexis Bledel: Alexis played Lorelai’s teenage daughter Rory Gilmore. She went on to play Lena in two Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants films, appeared on Mad Men in 2012 and starred in Us & Them. In 2017 she played Emily Malek in The Handmaid’s Tale for five years.
Kelly Bishop: Kelly played Lorelai’s posh mother, Emily. After Gilmore Girls ended, she has appeared in many shows including Bunheads, The Good Wife, The Salzburg Story, Halston, and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. Kelly released her memoir, The Third Gilmore Girl in 2024.
Edward Herrmann: Edward played Lorelai’s father. He went on to appear in Son of Morning, A Christmas Wish and had a recurring role on The Good Wife before his passing in 2014.
Scott Patterson: Scott played Luke, Lorelai’s love interest and he was the owner of Luke’s Diner. He went on to appear in Aliens in America, The Event, Con Man, Yellow Fever and Boys of Abu Ghraib. He launched his Gilmore Girls retrospective podcast, “I Am All In,” in 2021.
Melissa McCarthy: Melissa played Lorelai’s best friend Sookie. She shot to fame afterwards in Bridesmaids, This Is 40, Identity Thief and Tammy, along with other blockbuster comedies, She was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actress in 2019 for her portrayal of writer Lee Israel in the biographical film Can You Ever Forgive Me? She also stars in Nine Perfect Strangers.
Keiko Agena: Kelly has had an amazing career in TV following her role of Lane Kim, Rory’s best friend. She has starred in 13 Reasons Why, The First, Better Call Saul and Prodigal Son. She also wrote No Mistakes: A Perfect Workbook for Imperfect Artists in 2018.
Jared Padalecki: Jared played Rory’s first love, Dean Forester, He went on to play Sam Winchester in Supernatural and has appeared in other shows including House of Wax, Friday the 13th and Supernatural: The Animation. He also played Cordell Walker, in Walker, and is set to join Fire Country.
Liza Weil: Liza played Paris Geller and she has since starred in Scandal, Bunheads How to Get Away With Murder and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.
Matt Czuchry: Matt played Rory’s college boyfriend, Logan Huntzberger. Since then, he has appeared on Friday Night Lights, The Good Wife, The Resident and American Horror Story season 12. The actor cowrote a book with his brother, Mike Czuchry, Brothers on Life, in 2012.

But fans thought the advert wasn’t enough after an absence of 18 years and begged for more.
One said: ” I mean..while you have the set all set up you might as well film some more.”
Another agreed stating: “More coffee, more Luke & Lorelai!”
While a third added: “Can we get a new season preetyy pleaseee please prettyyyy.”
Fans were captivated by Luke and Lorelai’s rollercoaster relationship in Gilmore Girls.
Their love story started with friendship but slowly grew into a romantic relationship.
However, the couple faced many challenges and broke up more than once throughout the seasons.
But, in the series revival – In a Year in the Life – viewers finally got the happy ending they craved when the pair were married in the final episode.
The stars have moved on and since 2023, Scott has played the recurring role of Harry Sullivan on the Canadian television series Sullivan’s Crossing.
While Lauren, has starred as Alex Morrow in The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers, a Disney+ television series and been cast alongside Aisling Franciosi, Dylan O’Brien and James Sweeney in the movie Twinless.
