My man thought I was a dominatrix, I said he’d be disappointed when he learned the truth, says Youtuber Louise Pentland
YOUTUBER Louise Pentland has revealed that her fiancé mistook her for a dominatrix when the pair first met.
The content creator, who was part of the OG gang of Youtubers, alongside Zoe and Joe Sugg explained the mix up occurred after she matched with Liam O’Neill on a dating app.
The mum-of-two, 39, explained that she always likes to vet people before meeting them in person, so as to make sure that she really wants to go on a date with them.
She asked to Facetime Liam, and after the chat when well he asked for her number.
Confused Louise replied that he must already have her number, as the pair had just facetimed.
She then realised that she had Facetimed him from her laptop, meaning that her email address had shown up during the call.
Shocked, Louise realised that Liam now had access to her surname, meaning that if he looked her up, he would find all of her YouTube videos.
She begged him not to Google her, as she wanted to meet him without him having made any pre-judgements about her.
It turned out that Liam was actually a police officer, so feeling concerned, he got the Northamptonshire Police department to look her up, to make sure she didn’t have a criminal record.
On the date, Louise revealed the truth about her job, and asked him what he had thought she did when she asked him not to Google her.
“He said I came across as very confident and glamorous, so he just thought I was a dominatrix”, she told GK Barry on the Saving Grace podcast.
“I love that he still went on the date though as well,” I’m A Celebrity star Grace replied.
“I said, ‘well let me tell you Liam, things are going to get very disappointing for you”, Louise shared, as Grace howled with laughter.
Prior to her date with Liam, Louise revealed that she had been on a lot of bad dates, including one with a man who told her that he had killed 40 lizards by freezing them.
“That’s more than a red flag, that’s like the start of a serial killer”, Grace said shocked.
When Louise finally matched with Liam on Tinder, she said that he went against all of the strict criteria she had for a man.

However, the pair hit it off on their date, and fast forward eight years, they now share a daughter together, Pearl, 6.
Louise also has an older daughter, Darcy from her first marriage.
